Our Webelos I scouts have been working on the Engineer activity badge. They learned about different types of bridges, and will be constructing their craft stick bridges this month. At Pack Night, we will test the Webelos craft stick bridges to see how much weight they can hold. Here are a copy of the Pack 99 "Webelos Bridge Building Rules"

Spring is in the air, and summer will be here before you know it. In May we will be holding a Pack 99 Spring Camporee, and details for this event will be released soon. Later this summer the scouts will be attending Cub Scout Day Camp and Cub Scout Resident Camp. Details for these events can be found on our "District and Council Events" page.

This month we held our Annual Blue and Gold Banquet. This was our opportunity to celebrate and recognize our scouts, leaders and most importantly, the crossover of our Webelos II Scouts from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. This year our Blue and Gold Banquet was held on Sunday, February 23th. All six of our Webelos II scouts crossed over to a Boy Scout Troop!

This years Pinewood Derby is complete, and we had some great races. All of the scouts did a great job on their cars, and even though everyone didn't receive a trophy, each and every one of these scouts is a true WINNER! We would like to thank all of our volunteers who helped make this an enjoyable event for all.

In December we will held our second annual Christmas party where we practiced our Christmas Carols. We also had a special visit from Santa Clause. Then we visited Lakewood Nursing Home to entertain the residents and hand out gifts we had made for them.

This month we hosted a Thanksgiving feast. Each familiy brought their favorite dish to share with the Pack.

In addition, scouts who sold $650 or more in popcorn had the opportunity to throw a pie in the face of Cubmaster Bob.

In October we held our annual Halloween Party. Scouts were encouraged to wear a costume, and we held our own costume contest. We also held a pumpkin decorating contest.

Pack Night

Our theme for this month was Cub Scout Carnival! Each Den ran a carnival game for the Scouts to enjoy once our meeting had concluded.

Family Campout

Pack 99 held a Family Campout this month. One of the benefits of Scouting is exposing our sons to the great outdoors and to put and keep the 'outing' in 'Scouting'. One excellent way to achieve this is Camping. Besides being fun, family camping is an opportunity for quality time together and an enriched family life. This program is a recreational opportunity for all to enjoy. This year we chose Rainbow Council for our location, and everyone had a great time.
Photos coming soon........

Day Camp

Cub Scout Day Camp will be one of lifes most memorable Scouting experiences for you and your son. At Day Camp, Cub Scouts have opportunities to learn new skills, enhance old ones and work towards rank requirements, but most rewarding, just have LOTS OF SUMMER TIME FUN! In support of Scoutings mission and vision, this element of Rainbow Councils summer camp program has been designed to: promote character development; generate an awareness of the responsibilities of citizenship and leadership, and perpetuate mental and physical development.

Resident Camp

Resident camp is a great experience because it offers a unique opportunity to spend time with your son in an outdoor setting. No other Scouting activity offers such an intense opportunity to see Scoutings values on display as modeled by our superb staff. It is an experience he will never forget!

Parents, we could really use your help! Please download a copy of the Volunteer Form and let us know how you can help.

Please contact Bob, Will, or your Den Leader if you have any questions or are interested in helping Pack 99. The success of our Pack depends on parent volunteers as well as our leaders!

“No man is much good unless he believes in God and obeys His laws. So every Scout should have a religion .... Religion seems a very simple thing: First: Love and serve God. Second: Love and serve your neighbour.”
